Barbara Rutherford Redding was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, June 25, 2021. She was born in Perry County on November 6th, 1945. She graduated from Perry County Highschool in 1965, and soon after she met and married Johnny G. Redding Sr. of Georgetown Georgia. Barbara was a member of Frazer United Methodist and an active member of the Roy Cox Sunday School class. Barbara enjoyed Sunday lunches after church with her sister Carolyn, going to the "beauty shop" weekly and spending time with her large extended family. She was truly adored by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her only child: Johnny G. Redding Jr. (Carole Anne); Grandson: Austin Jarrett Redding; Granddaughter: Cameron Ashley Redding; Great-grandson: Houston G. Redding; Sister: Carolyn R. Mozingo; Brother: James (Jimmy) E. Rutherford along with multiple nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents: James Albert Rutherford (Mattie Sue); Stepfather: William "Bill" Alexander Henderson Jr. and her loving husband of 48 years: Johnny G. Redding Sr.

A Celebration of Life Memorial service will be held Friday, July 2nd 11:00 am, at Frazer United Methodist Church.
