Barbara J German

GERMAN, Barbara J. a resident of Montgomery, Alabama transitioned on Saturday, May 03, 2025 at her residence.  She was born to the late John T. & Beulah German on April 20, 1945 in Lowndes County. She was the 9th child of 10 children. She was preceded in death by 3 loving sisters, 4 brothers & an affectionate grandson Wanya T. Davis.

 She graduated in 1962 from Calhoun High School in Lowndes County. She accepted Christ at an early age and until her passing she truly loved the Lord. She was a Chef for over 30 plus years and she loved feeding her family & friends just to see the enjoyment on their faces. Mama’s true passion was baking! She found tranquility in baking assortment of cakes & pies for anyone who asked. She also had a green thumb when it came to her flowers & plants. She absolutely loved gardening that was her happy place. Her greatest joy was the love she had in her heart for all of her grandsons whom she adored beyond measure.

 She leaves to cherish a loving daughter Andrea Garrison Davis, Montgomery, Al.; a brother Wilson B. German, Montgomery, Al.; a sister Josephine German, Hope Hull, Al. 3 devoted grandsons; Fernandez D. Garrison, Stanley Davis, Jr., & Amiyas J. Davis all of Montgomery, Al. And a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025 - 12:00pm at Magnolia Cremations & Funeral Services, 901 South McDonough Street, Montgomery, Alabama 36104.
