It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony “Tony” Stephan Walley announces his passing on Thursday, March 6, 2025, in Montgomery, Alabama at the age of 72. He was a beloved husband, father, brother and uncle born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on
January 10, 1953, however, he spent most of his last 50 years living in Montgomery, Alabama. He is preceded in death by his mother, Alma K. Walley, father, Joseph D. Walley, son, Nicholas R. Walley, brother, Denis B. Walley, nephew, Brenden W. Walley, and nephew, Christopher B. Walley.
He is survived by his wife, Gerre Walley, Montgomery, AL, sister, Marianne Walley, Montgomery, AL, three brothers, Damian (Janet) Walley, Prattville, AL, Patrick Walley, Mobile, AL and Brayden (Anne) Walley, Mobile, AL, not to mention the 20 plus nieces and nephews he absolutely adored. A celebratory mass will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Our Lady Queen of Mercy Church at 4421 Narrow Lane Road, Montgomery, AL at 11:00am. A graveside service for interment will be held Friday, March 28, 2025, at Pine Crest Cemetery at 1939 Dauphin Island Parkway, Mobile, AL at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Catholic Charities, Rolling Hills Voluntary Fire Department, the Humane Shelter, or the American Heart Association.
